It was great seeing the children today after our long break! I hope everyone enjoyed Spring break with your families!

This week our theme is Transportation and the Letter Yy.

Today we read a book called Things That Go. We painted with red, yellow, and green using a motorcycle, car, and a truck to paint tracks. We added a train table to the classroom as well as various types of trains, cars, ramps, boats traffic signs, and transportation puzzles.

Have a great night!

Today we read a book called The Yack Who Yelled Yuck.  We did our Letter Yy practice paper and practiced writing words that begin with the letter Yy.  We also did a word "web" where we told something we remembered from the book we read yesterday, Things That Go.  The children then drew a picure of what they remembered.

We had gym class today.  Miss Maddy worked on balancing skills with the children and also played a fun game with them using hula hoops and bean bags.

Have a great night!

We had Chapel today and Pastor Linda and Mr. Mike told us the Good News, that Jesus has risen from the dead!

We had a lot of fun today dying eggs and hunting for eggs outside in the prayer garden. We read a book called Miinerva Louise and the Colorful Eggs. We also did some writing, reading, and cutting practice.

Today we read a book called Rabbit's Good News. We also listened to some facts about rabbits that live in the wild. Some questions you could ask your children: What is a girl rabbit called? What is a boy rabbit called? How many inches are a rabbit's ears?

An art activity we did today was gluing pieces of material that were different shaped, colors, and textures to create a "patchwork" rabbit. We painted at the easel using vibrant colors and did some cutting practice.

We had gym class today. Miss Maddy worked on various large motor skills with us. We were walking backwards, walking like a crab, skipping, and dancing.

We enjoyed outdoor recess today!

Tomorrow is our egg hunt! We will also be dying eggs.

Today we read Clifford's Spring and The Berenstain Bears Story of Easter. We discussed at group time that yesterday was the first day of Spring, even though some snow fell from the sky!

At tables we decorated bags for the egg hunt on Wednesday.  We decorated them with markers and foam stickers.   In the sensory bin we had plastic eggs filled with letters and different shapes. We also had a number matching game. Some of us wrote in our Journals.

Happy Birthday to Rhys! We had a special morning snack (cupcakes) to celebrate Rhy's birthday - thanks for the delicious treat!

We had outside recess today!
