This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their lexile score through Achieve 3000.  We will be watching the myth, "Theseus and the Minotaur."  After watching the myth, the students will create their own mythological comic strip about "Theseus and the Minotaur."  Happy Thanksgiving!

This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their lexile score through Achieve 3000.  They will continue to read 7th grade literature proficiently, cite textual evidence, and determine theme and analyze its development.  It is library week! Let's return and check out books.  No school Friday!

This week in ELA Patriot News the students will be learning about Greek Mythology as we begin our new collections.  They will learn about various Greek Gods and Goddesses as well as how the elements of a myth interact with one another.

This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their Lexile scores through Achieve 3000. They will be reading "A Flight to Icarus."  While reading, students will be able to analyze how story elements interact as well as cite textual evidence.  It's library week; make sure that your student returns his or her books.  Students will have academic vocabulary for homework this week.

This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their Lexile scores through Achieve 3000. We will be beginning our new collections, "Bold Actions." As the week progresses, we will identify various bold actions as well as understand how the elements of form and alliteration emphasize the meaning in a poem.  Homework will be assigned Monday and Tuesday this week.
