Welcome Back! This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their lexile score through Achieve 3000. We will be reading an excerpt from the novel, "Mississippi Solo." While reading the excerpt, students will be citing textual evidence, determining the central idea, as well as analyzing the interaction between individuals, events, and ideas. Homework will be assigned Monday and Tuesday.
This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their lexile score through Achieve 3000. Students need to return their book to the library no later than Tuesday. Also, Christmas Packets have been assigned from their Close Reader, "Big Things Comes in Small Package" and "Finding Your Everest." This is a short week, happy holidays!
This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to increase their lexile score through Achieve 3000. Students will analyze and compare news stories about the same event from various sources. Also, we will begin reading "Rogue Wave" this week. Academic vocabulary will be assigned for homework Tuesday and Wednesday. Be on the look out for Christmas Packets! I will be assigning two reading assignments from their Close Reader.
