This week in ELA Patriot's News, students will take a test on the article, "Magic and the Brain." Also, we will begin Collections II, Bold Actions. Students will be exposed to various people that have faced challenges fearlessly. Please make sure you're checking your student's Weekly Reader.  This week is homecoming week.  Tomorrow is Favorite Character day.

This week in ELA Patriot's news, students will be reading the article, "Magic and the Brain." While reading the article, they will analyze the structure of a text, provide an objective summary of the text, and cite textual evidence.  Academic vocabulary will be given for homework, and it is due Wednesday.  Students will go to the library Friday as well as complete their weekly reader.

This week in ELA Patriot's news, students will continue to analyze how a poem's form contribute to its meaning.  They will read poems, "Sonnet 43" and "Song of Wandering Aengus."  They will complete an assessment on both poems Thursday.  Homework will be assigned Thursday as well. Please allow your student to complete Achieve 3000 articles at home.
