Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun filled Spring Break! This week in ELA Patriot's news, we will continue to prepare for the state assessment.  Our focus this week will be as follows: expository writing, figurative and connotative meaning, poetry, author's purpose, making predictions, and drawing conclusions.

This week in ELA Patriot's news, we will continue to prepare for the state assessment.  Our focus this week will be as follows: recognizing and eliminating redundancy, analyzing the impact of the sounds of a poem, and drawing inferences from a text.

This week in ELA Patriot's news, we will continue to prepare for the state assessment.  As we prepare for GMAS, we will complete our mock testing this week.

This week in ELA Patriot's news, we will continue to prepare for the state assessment.  This week the students will be able to explain the functions of phrases and clauses within a sentence.  They will also be able to determine two or more central ideas in a text.  All African masks are due Thursday, March 1, 2018.  Students need to complete at least one achieve article a night this week for homework.
