This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to prepare for the GMAS.  The focuses for this week are as follows: cite textual evidence, determine central idea, and analyze the structure of text. Homework will be assigned Tuesday.  We will be attending the book fair this week as well.

This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to prepare for the GMAS.  The focuses for this week are as follows: 8 parts of speech, prepositions and the object of the preposition, and narrative writing. Also, they will be completing a unit assessment on Friday. Homework will be assigned Tuesday.

This week in ELA Patriot News, I will be preparing students to take the GMAS.  We will be focusing on various reading standards as well as completing a grammatical unit.

his week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue be taking Quarterly Bench Assessments. Also, students will continue to interpret figurative of speech in context.  Students will be assigned a mini project.

This week in ELA Patriot News, students will continue to read an excerpt from the novel, "Mississippi Solo."  While reading the excerpt, students will be citing textual evidence, determining the central idea, as well as analyzing the interaction between individuals, events, and ideas.  Also, students will interpret figurative of speech in context.  Homework will be assigned and is due Friday.
