Reading: Read every night for 20 mins. Do two(2)reading journal entries per week. Six (6) journals will be due on Jan.8th. Read the books given. (two per week) and passages (answer questions).
Writing: Write a story per week about the favorite thing you did that week. Stories must be 8-10 sentences long. Total of 3 stories by Jan. 8th. Do writing assignments.
Math: Do math assignments on single and double-digit addition and subtraction.
P.S. Don't forget that your child must bring in a book nicely wrapped by Dec. 20th. Your child could bring treats to share on Friday. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014! Best wishes! Ms. Chavez

1st grade Math:Do math assignments on making as many combination numbers for the following numbers: Wednesday- 13, Thursday-10, Friday-15, Monday-9, Tuesday-12
2nd grade Math: 1. Write as many combination numbers for the following numbers: Wednesday-20, Thursday-18, Friday-25, Monday-16, Tuesday 30 2. Write a word problem where the answer will be the given number for each day. It could be a subtraction or addition problem. For example: for the number 20 you could write. My mom gave me 5 rings, my dad gave me 10 more and I had 5 of them in my box. How many rings do I have now? You must show the equation (5+10+5=20)
