Week of Nov. 6 - 10
Hello Parents and Students,
We are reviewing Unit 1 (Structure of Matter) for Unit test on Wednesday. Students are encouraged to take their ISN's home to use as a study guide. Magnet students should continue to work on Science Fair projects, which are due Nov. 27th. NO EXCEPTIONS! The Science Fair Project is work multiple grades. Please ensure that your child is completing a project. School Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 29th.

Week of Oct. 23 - 27
Hello Parents and Students,
We are continuing Unit 1 (Structure of Matter). This week we are studying the 4 states of matter(Solids, Liquids, Gases, and Plasmas. Magnet students should continue to work on Science Fair Projects. They are due Monday, November 27th. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! The Science Fair will be held in the school's Media Center on Wednesday, November 29th.If your child has not returned their Approval Form in, please sign them and return as soon as possible.

Week of Oct. 16 - 20
Hello Parents and Teachers,
This week we are studying Chemical and Physical properties and changes. Science Fair Projects are due on November 27th. The Science Fair Project will be counted 5 times. Please ensure that your child is completing a project if he or she is a magnet student. Magnet students are required to complete a project. They have an option to complete a Science or Social Studies project. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!! The Science Fair will be held in the Fort Service Learning Magnet Academy Media center on November 29th, where they will be judged and possibly sent to the District Fair if chosen.

Week of Oct. 2-6
Hello Parents and Students,
We are continuing with Unit 1 Properties of Matter. In this unit, students will learn what is atom, subatomic particles of an atom. We will also learn parts of the periodic table, physical/chemical changes, states of matter, and differences of elements, compound, and mixtures. Students are currently practicing how to find the protons (atomic number), electrons, and neutrons of an element. Students will create a structure of an atom, using the PEN practice of the given element.
Homework:
Students will complete All Atoms handout. (Due Wed.)

Week of Sept. 25-29
Hello Parents and Students,
This week are beginning Unit 1 (Atomic Structure).
Tutorials will be held every Tuesday from 4:05-5:05.
Any student who may be having difficulty with assignments or missing assignments this will be the time to stay and complete them.
