Week of Jan. 8 - 12
Happy New Year!
Hope everyone had a very restful and enjoyable break. Getting back into the swing of things, we will review for the next two weeks for Unit 2 and QBA 2 assessments, reviewing all standards that have been taught throughout the year thus far. Students were given a study guide on Energy and required to complete it prior to today. Some students completed it and some did not. They were warned that it would not be accepted late, under no circumstances. Please encourage your child that all assignments are important. Students will receive another study guide on standards that have been taught, if not completed in class it is homework.
Unit 2 Assessment (Law of Conservation of Energy) will be given Wednesday January 10th
QBA 2 Assessment (S8P1, S8P2, S8P3, & S8P4) will be given Thursday January 17th.

Week Dec. 11 - 15
Hello Parents and Students,
This week we are finishing up Unit 2 (Law of Conservation of Matter). If any students need to stay after to complete any missing assignments, I will have tutorial on Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. It is important that students complete the Law of Conservation of Matter modules, it is part if their grade for the 2nd nine weeks.

Week of Dec. 4-8
Hello Parents and Students,
We are continuing to study Unit 2 (Energy Forms and Energy Transformation). There will be a mini -quiz on Wednesday, over energy forms and energy transformations. Grades are final on Dec. 20th. If any students need to stay after school this week to make up any missing assignments or to get assistance, I am available Thursday and Friday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Homework:
Students should be completing Law of Conservation of Energy modules 1 & 2. (Potential and Kinetic Energy) and Energy Transformation.

Week of Nov. 27 - Dec. 1
Hello Parents and Students,
Science Fair Projects were due today. Some students did not bring their project in today and there will be consequences for them being late. The Science Fair project is worth 5 grades. The school Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 29th. We are continuing to study Types and Forms of energy in Unit 2.

Week of Nov. 13 - 17
Hello Parents and Students,
This week began a new unit. Unit 2 consist of components of Kinetic and Potential Energy and the types. Durig the Thanksgiving break, students are required to complete Law of Conservation of Energy modules.The modules are due Monday, Nov. 27th. Reminder: Science Fair Projects are due Monday, Nov. 27th. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!! Science Fair grades are counted 5 times. The School Science Fair will be held in the Media Center on Wednesday, Nov. 29th.
