Happy Last Day of School! :) :( I am going to miss these children! But wish everyone a happy, safe, and blessed summer!
We had a lot of fun today celebrating the last day and having a birthday party for children with summer birthdays!
Have a great weekend! I will see everyone on Monday night for graduation. Please have your child in the classroom at 5:45 with their singing voices!

We had fun today at Field day. The children participated in a turtle stacking game, Frisbee toss, obstacle course, ring toss, firefighter game, and a fill the bucket game. It was also a beautiful day for a picnic outside!
Tomorrow we will be celebrating summer birthdays with a special morning snack. Children should bring their regular lunch or they can order the hot dog lunch.

Today we read a Weekly Reader together that was about summer safety. We had Chapel today. Pastor Linda told us a story about a man named Saul, who after he met Jesus and became a Christian, changed his name to Paul. We also practiced our graduation songs. We need the children to bring their singing voices to school! They know the words but are not singing them during practice.
We are excited for field day tomorrow and having a picnic lunch outdoors!
I can't believe Friday is our last day! This has been a fast year! Graduation will be on Monday, June 6 at 6pm. Please have your child to the classroom Monday at 5:30.
Today we read a book called The Pledge of Allegiance and discussed what Memorial Day was all about. For art we used red and white strips and star stickers to make our own flag. We also played another upper/lowercase matching game and had fun playing at Centers. We also had graduation practice in the Chapel.
Family Fun Night is tonight at 5:30 pm. I hope to see everyone there!
On Thursday we will be having field day. Please remember to send in a towel for your child to sit on during the outside picnic. Friday will be our Summer birthday celebration! We will be having a special morning snack.

Today at group time we looked at picture cards of sea life and different types of fish that live under the sea. We painted an under the sea picture by either drawing or using a stencil (the children could choose which one) After they were done their picture they used blue paint to paint waves. We also did a writing activity where we wrote what we will be doing this summer.
We played Sea Shell Bingo today. The children had an uppercase letter card, and put a seashell on the correct lowercase match when it was shown.
We had Spanish today, and Miss ViVi went over with us how to say different greetings in Spanish.
